Submarine Mainboard
During the winter quarter this year, my friends and I were looking for projects to do. Because many of us have the hobby of angling, we decided we wanted to create a submarine to map out some of the lakes we fish. While I don't know if we will continue to pursue the project, I did learn a lot about circuit design from it so far.
Design constraints
In terms of circuit design, a few outputs were necessary:
- Embedded Processor
- At least 8 PWM outputs (this is for driving motors + servos)
- Sensors
- At least 4 Analog inputs (special sensors)
- At least 4 I2C ports
- 2 SPI ports (1 used for an on-board SD card)
- And a UART telemetry module
Schematic
The shematic was split into 3 main parts:
- ROOT
- SOC
- POWER
SOC and Power
These were by far some of the more simple schematics.
